Greetings dear family and friends!

It has been a very busy three months since our last update and the summer is almost over! The Lord has been doing amazing things in our lives and we thank you for your prayers. There are a lot of exciting things to tell you about.

First of all, the wedding is approaching! In two weeks, on the 10th of September, I(Aden) will be traveling over to Romania to help with the preparations for the wedding. There are still many things to do but we are confident that the Lord will give us strength to get it all done! In the month before the wedding we will be working to get all the legal aspects of the marriage finalized. The Lord has given us much favor there in Romania as they have been very helpful and even excited to help us in our desire to get married there. They have told us all the documents that we need and it seems very straight forward. We just pray that everything goes smoothly.

This past summer has been really busy for the both of us but it has really made the time fly by! Ruth has been faithfully serving there in Romania while preparing for the wedding. Her family and friends have been a great help in the preparations of things there. It was a great surprise to the both of us that Ruth was able to come and visit Ireland for 2 weeks in July. It was such a great time and Ruth really felt welcomed here in Carrigaline as the ladies threw her a beautiful bridal shower! It's been really amazing to see the Lord pouring out blessings upon us. There have been times in which we have been left with our mouths wide open. For instance, the Lord provided a beautiful car for Ruth and I to have here in Ireland! This was something that we were not expecting and it was a welcomed surprise! However, despite any of the amazing gifts or blessings that the Lord has poured out on us, our desire is to always rejoice in Him more than at any blessings. All of these “amazing” or “jaw dropping” things for us have been nothing compared to the Lord. He is so much greater than anything that this world can offer. He is such a loving and caring Father, and even when we are unfaithful and disobedient He continues to pour out blessings upon us. We serve a very gracious God!

In our last update we told you of how the Lord is drawing us to Ireland. He has continued to make it clearer and clearer for the both of us that this is where He wants us right now. We have taken the time to make a website so that people can know what we are up to, and we encourage you to check it out! In the “About us” section we have written in detail what we will be doing here in Ireland. In short, we are moving to Carrigaline, Ireland where we will be involved in the various ministries of the church. There is a lot of need here in Carrigaline, and my parents have been praying for sometime that a couple would come and serve alongside them for a time. Again, for more specifics on what we'll be doing, check out the “About Us” at notbysight.org.

We ask that you would continue to pray for us! This time of our lives can be very exciting but also very scary! The enemy desires that we would perish and he definitely doesn't want us serving the Lord here in Ireland. Because of this we are often attacked spiritually and emotionally but God's word has continued to give us strength to carry on with confidence and trust in the Lord.
Praise the Lord that...
  • He has been providing the means for the wedding.
  • He continues to prepare Ruth and I for marriage and to draw us closer to Him and to one another
  • He has provided a car for us here!
  • He has given us clearer vision on what we will be doing here in Ireland

Pray that...
Spiritually
  • Jesus would continue to be the focus of our lives and that all we do would be pleasing to Him
  • We would be humble servants and willing to do anything that the Lord calls us to do.
For the Wedding
  • That He would continue to provide for the financial aspects of the wedding
  • That the Lord's presence would be so evident during the wedding and that anyone who does not know the Lord would be drawn to light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • That He would give us peace and joy as we prepare for all the different aspects of the wedding
  • That there would be great weather as the ceremony will be happening outside
For the Future
  • That we would continue to trust Him at His word
  • That the Lord would provide for the needs we have as we live here in Ireland.
  • That the Lord would provide the perfect house for us to rent!

Psalm 136- “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”

Thank you all so much for your prayers!

May 26th

Hello again dear friends and family!

The last few months have been very exciting and we thank you so much for all your prayers. It has really been a blessing to see God working in us and directing our steps for the future. We serve a God who not only hears our prayers but also answers them. Know that it is a beautiful thing to the Lord that His children are praying for one another. It shows Father God the love and unity which is only found through the work of His Son, Jesus. He is pleased to see the character of His Son being portrayed through us. Please continue to pray for us as there are still many things in the future that need to be lifted up before the Lord.

As you might know Ruth and I have finished our two year course and are graduated from Bible College. The Lord has really used the last two years to humble us and reshape us into something new that He desires to use. He has really given us both the desire to be on the Missions field and to serve Him. It was an amazing two years and we are looking forward to what the Lord will continue to do in us and through us.

For the Summer, Ruth and I have gone our separate ways. She will be serving in Romania with her family there and I will be serving here in Ireland. It is going to be a very busy summer for both of us especially since we'll be planning for a wedding that will take place on October 13th of this year!! We are so excited to have a date to look towards! Thank you for all your prayers in this matter! The wedding is going to take place in Romania and it is going to be a monumental occasion!

Since the wedding is going to take place in October, I will be traveling to Romania early September so that we can get all the legal aspects of the wedding sorted. Pray that this goes smoothly! It seems that getting legally married wont be too difficult in Romania but pray that this will be the case!

After the wedding, and hopefully the honeymoon, we really want to be able to be missionaries in Ireland for a time. There is a lot of need here in Ireland and we really want to be able to come alongside my parents in a town called Carrigaline. My whole family moved over to Ireland almost five years ago and we ,as a family, have been busy with the church here. However, my oldest brother is moving to England with his wife so that he can attend a violin making college and my other brother has recently been called to Jordan to serve God there. Because of this transition there will be a great need for help in the fellowship at Calvary Chapel Carrigaline. Being in Ireland we would be helping a lot with leading worship, teaching from time to time, and really, whatever needs to be done. We feel as if God wants us to remain in Europe for the time being and the door is open to be here in Ireland. However to live in Ireland we will need financial support due to the impossibility of being able to work here. We know without a doubt that God can provide for all our needs. He has called us to trust Him and to walk by faith. Matthew 6 has been a very encouraging passage for us and Ruth and I have seen time and time again that He is faithful to these very words. Please be praying for us in this time of preparation and if you feel led to support us in any way then please contact me.

Please continue to pray for us! We greatly appreciate your support!

Pray that...
Spiritually
  1. Jesus would continually be the focus of our relationship and that we would be glorifying Him in both thoughts and actions.
  2. He would be shaping us more into His image and the He would be making us a better husband and wife for one another.
  3. He would be greater than any circumstances in our life and that we would continue to trust Him.
  4. We would not be stressed out with preparation for the future.
For the Wedding
  1. That the legal aspect of the getting married in Romania would go smoothly.
  2. That He would provide for all the financial aspects of the wedding
  3. That the preparations for the wedding would not be stressful!
For the Future
  1. That we would continue to trust Him and take His word at face value.
  2. That He would provide for us people that would support us regularly so that we can live and serve in Ireland.
Praise God for
  1. The fact that we now have a date for the wedding!! October 13th!
  2. The completion of a blessed Bible College experience.
  3. Him faithfully leading us and giving us both peace with regards to the future.
  4. The fact that He promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us and that we can trust in Him with all aspects of our life!

“Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.” Psalm 33:20-21

Be Blessed!

Dear Friends and Family,

As you know Ruth and I just got engaged in February! It was such a perfect engagement and God provided in such amazing ways earlier than we expected. We have been prayerfully considering when we should get married and we feel that this October is the time. Needless to say we are very excited, but our excitement has not blinded us to the reality of planning a wedding and getting ready for married life. We are also both currently attending  Bible College in York, England. This is our last semester of Bible College so we are working towards graduation. As you can imagine it can be easy to get overwhelmed with all the things we need to think through and get done.

We ask that you would continually be lifting us up in your prayers! God has shown us that without the power of prayer backing us up we find ourselves drained and discouraged. It has been amazing how God is already using this time to draw us closer to Him and to each other. He is calling us to trust Him and have faith in His ability. And because of our desire to please Him and glorify His name, Ruth and I have been striving to set aside time each morning to specifically pray for the future and for God's will to be done.

Therefore, we would like to pass on to you some of the prayer requests that we have been daily lifting up to the Lord. We would appreciate it if you too would keep us in your prayers.

  4. We would not be stressed out with planning the future and finishing Bible College.
For the Wedding
  1. That we would be able to pick the date in October and that we would trust in God for good weather conditions.
  2. That He would provide for all the financial aspects of the wedding.
  3. That we would be able to figure out all the legal aspects of the wedding.
  4. That there would be people to help us with preparations... etc...
For the Future
  1. That God would lead us where He wants us.
  2. That He would provide for all our needs and that we would trust in Him.

Praise God for
  1. The fact that we continue to grow closer together in Him.
  2. A great engagement and for the beautiful ring that He provided miraculously for!
  3. His great unexplainable peace despite future uncertainties.
  4. The great semester that we've had so far and that God continues to bless us.
